Mil histories - One thousand things

Desde la ultima entrada al blog, ja fa temps així que ja toca fer un resum de tot el que he fet fins ara, que no es poc!

Al mes d'agost vaig estar fent la Via ferrata que em va quedar pendent l'any passat a Les Diablerets (Vaud) amb en Paul. Va ser genial, es diu Via ferrata "La Cascade" perquè passes per sota un salt d'aigua i el plat fort final, una tirolina!! Genial.

Uns dies més tard van venir de visita uns amics de Barcelona, el Josep Mª i la Maria i vam estar visitant la vall de Grindewald, amb l'espectacular Mont Eiger (molt famós per la dificultat de l'escalada a la cara nord i on van morir els famosos escaladors alemanysToni Kurz i Andreas Hinterstoisser). Vam pujar a la Jungfraujoch (3454m d'alçada i una de les muntanyes més famoses de Suissa) i vam visitar Thun i Luzern, dues ciutats increiblement boniques...i molt suisses!!! :)

Més endavant amb la companyia del Rafa, vam anar a Lyon, la segona ciutat més important de França. No sabia pas que l'ambient d'aquesta ciutat m'agradaria tant. Al principi, la vaig trobar una mica estranya, pero poc a poc i després de visitar els diferents barris i veure l'ambient jove i de carrer que s'hi respira em va acabar agradant molt.

I fa just una setmana, també amb el Rafa vaig anar a Zurich...impresionant!!! Quina ciutat més maca i quin ambient tant xulo!!! Vam aprofitar per visitar també Schaffhausen un poblet a una hora de tren de Zurich, encantador, molt bonic i Winterthur, que es com una maqueta! :) Tot tan ben posat!!! :)
De Zurich em va agradar tot, es gran, té molts ambients, la amabilitat de la gent...tot!!! També vaig aprofitar per veure en Jose Luis, un amic de Barcelona que s'hi va traslladar a viure fa 5 mesos i vam passar una tarda-nit genial!!! :)

Doncs aquí hi ha el resum de tot el que he fet tooooots aquests dies desde l'ultima entrada al blog, ara ja estic preparant una nova aventura, aquesta serà mooooolt impressionant!! D'aquí a poquet en sabreu més detalls.

It's long ago since the last post so I'm going to resume what have I done since then, a lot of things!

In august I went to make the Via Ferrata in Les Diablerets (Vaud) pending since the last year, with Paul. It was amazing, it is called "La cascade" because you pass under a waterfall and the best part, a highrope at the end!! Awesome.

Some days later, a couple of friends from Barcelona came to visit and we went to the valley of Grindewald, with the impressive Mount Eiger (known for its difficult climbing on the north face and where the famous german climbers Toni Kurz and Andreas Hinterstoisser died on its first ascent). We also went to the Jungfraujoch (3454m height and one of the most famous mountains in Switzerland) and then we went to Thun and Luzern, two really beautiful towns...and very Swiss!!! :)

Sometime later, I went with Rafa to Lyon, the second biggest city in France. I didn't know that I would like the ambiance so much. At the beginning, I found the city a bit strange, but later on and after visiting the different quarters and seeing the nice young ambient I liked it.

And just a week ago I went to Zurich also with Rafa...AMAZING!! What a nice city and what a beautiful ambient!!! We took advantage to visit Schaffhausen and Winterthur, just an hour train far away and I found Schauffhausen just beautiful and Winterthur as a model :) everything in the right place!!! I liked everything from Zurich, is big enough, different kinds of people, friendly...everything was nice there!!!
I also visited a friend from Barcelona who is living there from some months ago, Jose Luis and we spend a nice evening, together!!! :)

So, here you are all the things done in the last months. Now I'm preparing a new adventure, this one will be quite IMPRESSIVE!!! In some time I will give you more details.

Al juliol ha tocat... Noruega!!! Un país espectacular (tot i el temps gris i plujós) del que en vaig gaudir com mai amb la companyia, una vegada més de l'Aïda, i hi hem afegit el Toni i el Claudi.

Els quatre teniem moltes ganes de conèixer aquest país escandinau i la veritat es que vam fer un viatge increible, al nostre aire i fent el que més ens agrada...muntanya!

Vam trobar-nos a Oslo, ells viatjaven desde Barcelona i jo desde Ginebra. La veritat es que d'Oslo no en puc dir gaire gran cosa, ja que ens vam limitar a anar a buscar el cotxe de lloguer, carregar-lo (i dic CARREGAR-LO amb majúscules perquè no hi cabia ni una agulla!!!), i fer un pic-nic improvitzat davant de l'estació d'autobusos (indescriptible...ens haurieu d'haver vist!!!).

Pel que em va donar temps a veure podria dir que no es una ciutat molt gran i bueno, a mi em va donar bona impresió.

Una vegada vam tenir el cotxe i l'estòmac ple, vam començar a tirar milles, voliem posar-nos en ruta, ja que haviem d'anar cap a l'oest, fins a Odda y Tyssedal, molt a prop de Bergen i ens separaven uns 500km. 

El millor de Noruega, es que pots acampar allà on vulguis, així que ens vam endur les tendes de campanya i els sacs de dormir i vam acampar tota la setmana. 

Una vegada a Tyssedal vam pujar un fiord espectacular anomenat "Trolltunga" que ens va costar unes 5 hores l'ascens i unes 3 i mitja el descens, però va ser increible...vam passar per glaciars i uns paisatges genials i vam pujar, pujar, pujar....fins als gairebé 2000 metres i a dalt de tot vam descobrir un paratge que talla la respiració.

A Tyssedal vam fer dues nits a la vora d'un llac, en una platja rocosa fantàstica gaudint d'uns sopars plens de xerrades i riures al costat del foc de camp mentres comprobavem que no es pon el sol.

Seguidament vam tirar cap al Parc Natural de Hardangervidda i pel camí ens vam trobar una sorpresa increible que no esperavem pas...una platja!!! amb bon temps, sol!!!! I que vam fer, una parada improvitzada!! Vam dinar, vam prendre el sol i ens vam banyar al Mar del Nord!!! i després de tot...l'aigua no estava tant freda!!! :D

Al arribar a Hardangervidda, ja no vam tenir tanta sort amb el temps...vam plantar les tendes de campanya en un lloc ideal al costat d'un riu i de seguida va començar a ploure, així que vam sopar ràpid i cap a les tendes...tota la nit plovent i tot el dia següent també, pero tot i així vam anar a fer una ruta pel parc de la que vam tornar com si ens haguessim banyat amb roba i botes!!! quina pluja!!

Al tornar vam agafar el cotxe i vam decidir marxar buscant aixopluc ens haviem mullat massa i no teniem opcions d'eixugar la roba, el millor era intentar passar la nit en sec! I vam trobar un lloc genial, on vam fer una estesa de roba, que semblava jo que sé que!!! hahaha, i allà vam sopar i vam riure molt i molt jugant a les cartes...quina nit!!! i vam anar a dormir a les tantes i seguia plovent!!!!
L'endemà tota la ruta que vam fer va ser en cotxe, no parava de ploure i ja haviem de fer camí cap a Oslo, la setmana ja s'estava acabant!! Pero tot i així vam gaudir d'uns paisatges espectaculars verds, amb mil cascades on l'aigua es salvatge, amb les cases típiques noruegues amb la teulada plena d'herba...sí, sí hi planten herba a les teulades!!!!

I vam fer l'ultima nit d'acampada en una illa!!!! (península millor dit!!) increible!!! rodejats de bosc i enmig del fiord...sense paraules... que bé que vam estar una vegada més amb el nostre foc de camp, menjant cuscús amb xampinyons!!!

Ja l'endemà vam tirar cap a Oslo, la setmana ja s'acabava i la ultima nit la passavem en un alberg...i per fi una dutxa d'aigua calenta!!! :) Penseu que en tota una setmana ens vam dutxar una sola vegada amb aigua freda i el bany de la platja...també podem comptar com a dutxa la pluja, no??!! :D

I res, ja l'endemà cap a l'aeroport i retorn...molta pena de deixar a l'Aïda, al Toni i al Claudi...pero amb l'alegria d'haver passat uns dies que no oblidaré mai!!

On July I have gone to....Norway!!! An incredible country (even the grey and rainy weather), I enjoyed  as ever with, once more Aïda, and then Toni and Claudi.

The four of us wanted to discover this Scandinavian country and I can say we made an amazing journey, in our way, doing whatever we love...mountaineeiring!

We met in Oslo, they came from Barcelona and I from Geneva. I cannot say very much about Oslo, we only went to look for the car, we load it (and I mean LOAD IT as it was really full of luggage!!!) and we improvised a pic-nic in front of the bus station (no words...you should see us!!!).

For what I saw I could say it's not a big city and I got a nice impression.

Once we got our stomachs and the car full, we started the adventure driving to the west, to Odda and Tyssedal, these are located close to Bergen and about 500km from Oslo.
The best thing in Norway is that you can camp everywhere so we took our tents and sleeping bags and we camped the whole week.

Once we reached Tyssedal, we hiked over an impressive Fjord called "Trolltunga", the hike took us like 5 hours the ascent and around 3 hours and a half the descent but it was amazing...we walked through the glaciers and incredible landscapes and we walked, walked, walked...almost 2000 meters high and when we reached the summit we discovered a breathtaking place.

We spent two nights in Tyssedal camping close to a lake in a beautiful rocky beach enjoying lovely dinners close to the camp fire cheating and laughing while we could see that the sun never set.

Then we drive to Hardangervidda Natural Park and during our way we got an unexpected surprise...a beach!!! and good weather, SUN!! So, we took advantage of it and we stopped there to eat, sunbathing and take a bath in the North Sea!!! After all...the water wasn't so cold!!!! :D

When we arrived to Hardangervidda, the weather had changed...we set up the tents in a beautiful place close to a wild river and it started raining so we had to have a quick dinner and go into the tents...the rain kept all night long and the next day as well but even that we decided to do a hike through the park. We came back soaked!! What a rain!!!

We decided to go from there and try to find a dry place to spend the night as we did not have dry clothes and we needed to dry some. And we found the place and we hanged out all our clothes!!! hahaha, and we had dinner and we laughed a lot playing cards!! We went to sleep really late and the rain was still there!!
The next day we drive almost the whole day because of the rain and also because we had to arrive as  close as possible to Oslo, our week was almost finishing!! But even that, we enjoyed the landscapes with hundreds of wild waterfalls and the tipical norwegian houses with grass on the roofs...yes the houses have grass on their roofs!!!

And the last night we camped in an island (well, peninsula in fact!) amazing!!! surrounded by trees and water in the middle of the sea-fjord...no words to describe it...once more we enjoyed the night close to our camp fire eating cous-cous with mushrooms!!!

The next day we arrived to Oslo, it was the last day and we spent the night in a hostel...and we finally got a hot shower!!! :) In a whole week we only took a cold shower and the bath on that beach ... maybe we can count the rain as shower, can't we??!! :D

And this is it!! The next morning back to the airport...sad to leave Aïda, Claudi and Toni but happy to have spent some unforgettable days!!

Un "cumple" d'altura, Zermatt i Matterhorn - A height birthday, Zermatt and Matterhorn

Aquest any he celebrat el meu anniversari a 3000 metres d'alçada!! Vaig anar a passar 3 dies increibles a Zermatt, un poble d'entre mig dels Alps connegut per que gaudeix de la muntanya més característica de Suissa, el Matterhorn o Mont Cervin. Potser nomès pel nom no sabeu quina muntanya es, però i si us dic que es la muntanya que surt dibuixada a les barres de xocolata del "Toblerone"? Encara no? Bueno, ara quan vegeu les fotos de seguida la reconeixereu!

Doncs aquest any vaig decidir celebrar el meu cumple d'una manera ben especial i com no podia ser d'una altra manera volia que fos a la muntanya, i havia de ser allà a Zermatt. Es un dels llocs que tenia ganes de visitar des de que vaig arribar a Suissa.

Hi vaig anar amb el meu amic Rafa i a qui també li encanta la muntanya. Així que vam agafar tots dos el tren i en tres hores ens vam plantar de Ginebra a Zermatt. Vam anar a buscar l'allotjament i vam dinar tranquilament. Per la tarda, no teniem grans plans de grans caminades i vam centrarnos a visitar el poble, fer algunes fotos, però vam descobrir que hi havia moltes rutes i sense pensar-ho dues vegades i sense equipació, vam començar a seguir-ne una...al final vam acabar fent una ruteta de 3 horetes!!! No era dificil, pero tenint en compte com anavem....suficient!!! :) Si es que no ens podem resistir, a la que veiem un camí, cap allà que hem de tirar.

L'endemà era el dia més especial, voliem fer una ruta que estava marcada com a difícil i que segons la guia trigariem 14 hores a completar i amb un desnivell de 2200 metres, pujariem fins als gairebé 3000 metres i gaudiriem de les millors vistes del Matterhorn. Teniem tanta emoció a sobre que ens vam llevar a les 6 del matí, vam esmorzar i vam carregar les motxilles amb tot el necessari, roba d'abric i de pluja, menjar i aigua suficients, navalla, frontal, etc... i a les 7 del matí començavem la ruta.

Va ser una ruta genial, vam gaudir d'un paisatge espectacular, al principi el Matterhorn era petitet i a mesura que anavem avançant ens anava mostrant la seva grandesa i majestuositat, INCREIBLE!!!
La ruta va ser dureta, la pujada i els glaciars ens van fer suar, però com que nosaltres som uns motivats, enlloc de fer-la en 14 hores la vam fer en 9!!! :D

L'ultim dia era el dia del meu cumple, el 17 de juny i tot i que estavem petadets del dia anterior, no podiem desaprofitar l'ultim dia, així que un altre bon esmorzar amb regals d'anniversari i vinga, cap a l'altre costat a fer un descens, vam agafar el tren cremallera que ens pujaria a Gornegratt a 3100 metres d'alçada i ara toca el descens fins a baix de tot, ens va costar 5 hores i els genolls fets pols, pero no ho cambio per res del món!!!! una vegada més GENIAL!!! :)

Us recomano, que si teniu oportunitat vingueu i gaudiu de Zermatt, que es un poble xulissim i potser no cal que feu les macro-rutes que fem nosaltres, pero hi ha rutes més curtes i fàcils i fins i tot telecabines que et pujen als cims amb millors vistes...no us en penedireu pas!!!

This year I have celebrated my birthday at 3000m high!! I spent 3 awesome days in Zermatt, a village located in the middle of the Alps known because it has the most popular Swiss mountain, the Matterhorn or Mont Cervin. With only the name you probably don't know it, but what if I tell you about the mountain that appears in Toblerone chocolate bars? Well, if not, wait to see the pictures and then you will know of which mountain I'm speaking.

So, this year I decided to celebrate my birthday in a very special way and of course, I wanted that it were in the mountains and had to be there, in Zermatt. Is one of the places that I wanted to visit since I arrived in Switzerland.

I went there with my friend Rafa who also loves the mountains, so we took the train early in the morning and three hours later we were in Zermatt. We looked for the accomodation and had our lunch. On the afernoon we didn't had any hiking planned so we took the camera and decided to explore the village, really soon we discovered that there were lots of hikings to do and without thinking twice and with no equipment we started to follow a path...the story ends in a 3 hours hiking!!! It wasn't difficult at all but regarding the plans...it was enough!!! :) The thing is that we can't resist, as soon as we see a path, we have to follow it.

The following day it was the most special, we wanted to do a hiking marked as difficult and to be done in 14 hours, the height was 2200m and we would ascent until 3000m to enjoy the most wonderful views of the Matterhorn. We were so excited that we got up at 6:00 in the morning, we had an awesome breakfast i we packed all the necessary in our backpacks, warm and rainy clothes, food and water, the swiss knife, lantern, etc...and at 7:00 o'clock we started walking.

It was an amazing hike, we loved the landscapes. At the beginning, the Matterhorn was small and while we were climbing up it shows up all its greatness and majesty, AMAZING!!!
The ascent was not easy, the rise and the glaciers made us sweat, but as we love the difficulties, instead of 14 hours, we ended in just 9!!! :D

The last day was my birthday, june the 17th and even we were tired for the hike of the day before we did not want to loose our last day, so after another great breakfast and some birthday presents, we went to the opposite mountain and this time we made a descent. We took the rack rail until Gornegratt (3100m high) and we hike down. It took us 5 hours and it let our knees quite hurt, but I promise I would not change the experience at all!!!! Once more, AWESOME!!! :)

I recommend you that, if you have the opportunity, come to Zermatt, it's really beautiful and full of hikings of all levels, even you can use the cable cars to go up the mountains if you don't feel like walking...you won't regret!!!

Descobrint, escalant - Discovering, climbing

Aquesta vegada he deixat força espai desde que vaig fer l'ultima entrada al blog, però de vegades les obligacions, el no parar....la MANDRA...van guanyant terreny a aquest petit diari viatger-esportiu. Que hi farem? La veritat es que mai m'ho he posat com una obligació i escric quan el temps m'ho permet i en tinc ganes.

Doncs mentres he deixat passar el temps, no us penseu pas que m'he quedat parada, NOOOO!!! això mai!!! He fet força coses aprofitant que entre alguns dies de pluja hem pogut gaudir de temperatures estivals i amb un sol que s'assembla al de Barcelona.

Fa un parell de setmanes (potser tres ja...) vaig anar a Annecy de nou (ja us n'havia parlat en un altre post d'aquest poble) i vaig anar-hi amb un parell d'amics, el Rafa i el Jean-Pascal (aquest últim viu allà) i vam passar un dia encantador descobrint nous llocs que no havia vist l'altra vegada i vam pujar al Col de la Forclaz, un paissatge idílic ple de coses interessants a fer, rutes, parapent, escalada... Tot i que aquest era un dia de total relax, em guardo la ubicació a l'agenda com: lloc pendent a explorar i escalar! :)

Una setmana després vaig tornar a l'Alta-Savoia (Alps Francesos) i m'hi vaig passar un parell de dies. Tot i que hi anava amb una previsió del temps que feia plorar (pluja intensa durant tres dies), vaig anar-hi igualment! Vaig pensar: ves-hi i si més no, descansaràs i desconnectaràs i mira no ho vaig fer malament del tot!
Vaig estar a un poblet que es diu Sixt-Fer-À-Cheval i que té un paissatge alpí increible amb infinitat de rutes. El primer dia d'estar allà em vaig arriscar i vaig decidir anar a fer una ruta que ja tenia planejada, em vaig dir: fins on la pluja et deixi!! i vaig tirar, i al final vaig fer una ruta xulíssima d'unes 4 hores pel
"Cirque du Fer-à-Cheval".

I aquestes ultimes dues setmanes he aprofitat per escalar bastant. He fet la primera sortida a la roca (ja tocava després de l'hivern) i evidentment he estat entrenant al mur indoors. He descobert un lloc que no queda massa lluny de Ginebra, St. George (Vaud) i que té unes vies que no estàn malament, semblen fàcils a primera vista, però quan et trobes al mig de la pared...mmm...qui diu que l'escalada es fàcil? M'ENCANTA!!!!

It has passed long time since I wrote the last post on the blog but some times the todo's, the non-stops...and the LAZINESS...keeps me away of this small trip-sportive diary. Nothing to do!! I always thought about writing as entertainment, not as an obligation.

So, while the time was passing by, I kept myself as active as usual!!! I NEEEVER stay quiet!! I have done lots of things taking advantage of the weather. Between some rainy days, we enjoyed of high  temperatures and an amazing likely "Barcelona-sun"

Maybe two (or three) weeks ago I went back to Annecy (I already talked about this town on another post). This time I went there with two friends, Rafa and Jean-Pascal (the last one lives on there) and we spent a charming day discovering new places. We went to Col De La Forclaz, an idilic landscape full of activities like hikings, paragliding, climbing...even though that day was just to relax I put on my notebook a remind as: place to explore and climb! :)

One week later, I went to Haute-Savoie (French Alps) for about two days. Despite the weather forecast was awful (three days of heavy rains) I decided to go! I thought: just go, you will have a rest and you will enjoy of the quietness and I can say it wasn't that bad!
I stood in a tiny village called Sixt-Fer-À-Cheval and the alpine landscapes were awesome and there were lots of hikings to do. The first day I decided to risk and start the hike planned, I just told myself: until the rains stops you!! Finally I made one awesome hike that took me like 4 hours by the "Cirque du Fer-à-Cheval".

And during this last two weeks I have been climbing a lot. I have done my first trip outside after the winter and I have been training indoors as well. I have discovered a place close to Geneva, St. George (Vaud) where the routes are quite difficult! When you see them from down you think they are easy, but when you hang on the wall...mmm...who told climbing was easy? I JUST LOVE IT!!!!

Delta de l'Ebre i Ports de Besseït-Barcelona-Ciutadilla

Fa un parell de setmanes que vaig tenir unes vacancetes i vais aprofitar per tornar a casa.  Van ser uns dies fantàstics amb bon temps, llocs espectaculars i una companyia immillorable.

Al arribar a Barcelona, vaig agafar el cotxe i amb la genial companyia de l'Aïda vam anar a passar uns dies al Delta de l'Ebre i als Ports de Besseït...buf...genial, un viatge inoblidable...platja, bon menjar, amics i unes rutes de muntanya increibles.

Al tornar a Barcelona, 5 dies de trobades amb els amics...quina alegria retrobar-los! I tot i que m'hagués encantat veure a més gent, no va ser possible. Dinars, sopars, cafés, riures i bons moments, passejades i compres amb en Josep Mª, la Sofia, la Isa, el Jose, etc...

I finalment, la visita al meu poble! Uns dies a Ciutadilla, bons moments amb els meus pares, xerrades i sopars càlids amb la Laura i la Mireia, berenars i dinars amb la familia, jocs amb el Bernat, l'Adam i l'Erin...fantàstic!

Vaig aprofitar fins a l'ultim moment. Simplement dies fantàstics, per desconnectar, per retrobar la gent a la que estimo i per passar-m'ho moooolt bé, com m'agradaria tornar enrera en el temps per tornar a repetir-ho!!!

Suïssa està molt bé, però la meva terra, Catalunya, es fantàstica!!! :)

Like two weeks ago I took some holidays and I came back home. They were awesome days with good weather, amazing places and the best of the company.

When I landed in Barcelona, I took my car and I went to spend some days to Delta de l'Ebre and els Ports de Besseït with one of my best friends, Aïda...buf...amazing, an unforgettable journey...beach, good meals, friends and amazing hikings on the mountains.

Once again in Barcelona, 5 days seeing friends...it was so nice to see them again! Even I would love to see more people, it was no possible. Lunches, dinners, coffees, laughings and good moments, walkings and shopping with Josep Mª, Sofia, Isa, Jose, etc...

And finally, the trip to my village! Some days in Ciutadilla, lovely moments with my parents, chating and warm dinners with Laura and Mireia, afternoon snacks and lunches with my family, plays with Bernat, Adam and Erin...lovely!

I made the most of my time until the last moment. They were amazing days to disconnect, to meet the people I love and to enjoy and have lots of fun. I wish I could go back in time and repeat it!!!

Switzerland is nice, but my country, Catalonia, is amazing!!! :)

Per fi ens hem tret aquell fred terrible de sobre. Mireu que jo sempre m'he considerat una persona d'hivern, a qui li agrada el fred...però noi, aquest any ja n'he tingut prou i esperava amb ganes el cambi de temps!!

I ha arribat, i he pogut sortir de casa i he pogut agafar de nou els patins i he pogut sortir a correr a la vora del llac perquè ja no hi ha gel i el millor de tot es que he pogut tornar a fer una de les meves excursions!!! :)

Aquesta vegada ha tocat el torn d'anar a veure Fribourg. Fribourg es la capital del cantó i la que li dona nom.
Es una ciutat petita, medieval, amb una catedral molt maca i caracteritzada pels seus ponts.

Una vegada més vaig agafar el tren sobre les 8:15h del matí i en una hora i quart aproximadament vaig arribar-hi. Com sempre, al baixar del tren un café per treure'm el "coup de barre", perquè m'entengueu la son de les orelles!!

I una vegada "desperta" doncs a veure la ciutat! Bonica, tranquila, neta...però petita! Sobre les 13:00h ja la havia vist sencera! i això que m'havia parat una estona en un parell de bancs a disfrutar del solet! Vaig dinar, vaig menjar un geladet entre mig dels estudiants que voltaven per allí i vaig anar a buscar el tren de tornada!

La veritat es que aquestes escapadetes no tenen preu!!! M'encanten!!!

Finally that ugly cold weather is gone. I always thought that I was a winter person, I like the cold weather...but seriously, it's enough for this season, I was waiting for the change!!

And now it's here and I could get out of home and I could skate again and I could go running outside close to the lake because there is no longer ice and the best thing is that I could enjoy one of my trips again!!! :)

Now it is time to visit Fribourg. Fribourg is the capital of the canton and gives the name to it. It is a small city, medieval, with a beautiful cathedral and the main feature are the bridges.

Once more I took the train over 8:15h in the morning and I arrived there within one hour and a half more or less. As usual, when I left the train I went to look for a coffee to take me out the "coup de barre" or what is the same, to wake me up!!

As soon as I finished I started walking the city! Beautiful, quiet, clean...but small! At 13:00h I have finished the visit! even I took some rests to enjoy the sun!
I went for lunch, I ate an ice cream between the students who were hanging around and I took the train back!

I promise that these short trips are amazing!!! I love them!!

 

Fred polar - Polar cold

Aquesta setmana ha sigut "gelada" en el sentit més estricte de la paraula i quan vegeu les fotos entendreu perquè.

Tot ha començat amb una onada de fred siberià que ha envait tota Europa i que ha fet baixar les temperatures a un nivell rècord, hem arribat a -12º, ha fet un vent que ha incrementat la sensació tèrmica fins a -21º i està glaçant tant de dia com de nit. El fred es bastant insoportable i fa que hagis de portar un munt de roba i tot i així encara tens la sensació que t'en falta.

Fa dos dies, anant a treballar a les 6.00 del matí, portava: els pantalons tèrmics a sota dels pantalons de pana, els mitjons de llana que m'arriben al genoll, les botes, la samarreta tèrmica, el forro polar, l'anorak, la bufanda, els guants i el gorro i sabeu que? Doncs que el fred era tan intens que em travessava l'anorak i vaig pensar que si segueix en aquest to, m'hauré de rascar la butxaca i comprar-me'n un d'aquests de 300 euros de plomes.

La veritat es que aquesta sensació de fred encara no l'havia experimentat mai i puc dir que ES MOLT DE FRED!!!

This week it has been "frozen" in the most strict sense and when you'll see the pics you will understand why.

Everything has started with a Siberian cold wave that has embraced the whole Europe and that has made get the temperatures down to a record level, here we have had -12ºC mixed with a freezing wind who has made increase the sensation until -21ºC, that means it is freezing night and day. The cold becomes unaffordable and it makes you wear lots of clothes and even that you feel that you need some more yet.

Two days ago, while I was going to work at 6.00 a.m., I was wearing: a pair of thermal pants down the trousers, a pair of wool knee-length socks, the boots, a thermal undershirt, the polar pullover, the coat, the sarf, a pair of gloves and the cap and do you know what? The cold was so hard that I felt as it went through. I thought that if the weather keeps like this I will need to buy a nice 300€ coat.

Seriously, I think that I have never experienced this kind of cold and to be honest IT IS A LOT OF COLD!!!
